It's been a year since I painted my apartment green. Although I like it as it is, this one wall I felt deserved special attention but I didn't want to do the classic dark accent wall. Instead I chose four shades of green, and then used 1.5" wide painter's masking tape and a laser level to create a non repeating pattern of boxes and cutouts. Here's the work in progress.

Here's the finished view of it. I have to fix the edges where paint leaked under the tape. The scale of this photograph is difficult to figure out - it almost looks like it's in a dollhouse.
